Shield Your Yield
Our Technology
FrostDefender
Our core innovation, FrostDefender™, is a proprietary encapsulation spray designed for dormant grape vines to delay bud break and enhance cold hardiness. This breakthrough product uses plant-based polymers to create a protective barrier, improving resistance to frost by up to 6°C, delaying bud break by up to 14 days, and remains adhered to the vine for up to 45 days. The two-component product is supplied as a dry powder, blended with water for convenient spray application (approx. 50 kg dry product and 26 gallons water per acre).
FrostDefender™ is effective and eco-friendly, with a formulation that is non-toxic and biodegradable. By providing growers with a solution that blends sustainability with science, we empower them to reduce crop losses and maintain high-value yields, even in the face of increasingly unpredictable spring weather patterns.
Decision Support
Our proprietary Decision Support System predicts frost and bud break so that farmers can decide when to apply our product.

Increased Yield
Our technology delays improves yield by delaying bud break and improving cold hardiness.
CO2 Reduction
Because our solution is biological, CO2 is drastically reduced compared to conventional methods such as propane-generated heat.
Sustainable Impact
Our encapsulation spray reduces carbon output and water use, offering sustainable, non-toxic solution for mitigating the risks of spring frost.
Broad Application for Fruits & Crops
Our technology is proven for grape vines, and adaptable for orchard and stone fruit crops as well.
Improved Labor Management
Our intelligent decision support system streamlines labor management.
Frost Protection
Our technology reduces frost risk by up to 70%, cutting in half the need for burners and fans.
Bud Break Delay
FrostDefense delays bud break by up to 14 days, taking the need to shield those buds from frost out of the equation for that period.
Improved Cold Hardiness
The encapsulation spray increases cold hardiness by up to 6° C and remains adhered to vine for up to 45 days.
